Christmas on the Common will be Sunday, December 1st, 2013 from 1-4 PM on the Bridgewater Town Common.
This annual holiday event is held on the Bridgewater Town Common (even in the snow!). Bring the family to meet Santa Claus and get your photo taken with Avery Photography and CVS Bridgewater, pony rides with Ponies For Parties, holiday music, food and hot drinks. In addition to the event on the Common, The Bridgewater Masons Hall, next to the Common, will be host to our indoor Christmas Bazaar. We’ll also have a heated tent on Central Square with even more vendors.

The BBA is proud to state that this event has consistently grown in popularity and attendance since it’s revitalization in 1998. We are thankful for all the help and cooperation we have received over the years from local businesses and our members. Without you this event, along with our extremely popular Autumn-Fest, would not be possible.
BBA members are entitled to a FREE booth at this event as part of your annual benefits. Non BBA Members are charged $25 per booth space. Both BBA and Non-BBA must register here to reserve your space. Non-BBA Members may pay by check our use PayPal to pay online. We have limited room inside for our Christmas Bazaar in the Mason’s Hall, it is a first-come, first-serve basis and current BBA members have priority. For the first time in many years, the Bridgewater common will be closed to south-bound traffic on the west side from 12-5. We anticipate our BIGGEST Christmas on the Common event ever!!
Admission is free. Select activities at the event do cost money to participate. There is parking around the common and the event is within walking distance from the center of town.
JUST ANNOUNCED NOV 16! We’ll be accepting donations for the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation with the assistance of our Membership.
JUST ANNOUNCED NOV 18: With the street being closed, we will be having a heated tent on the street for even more space for vendors for an even bigger event this year.
JUST ANNOUNCED NOV 19: The Hanson Children’s Museum will be having a Wild Wild West exhibit and activity for the kids.
All the net proceeds from Christmas on the Common go towards the BBA Charity Fund. Through our charitable efforts in Town, the BBA has donated over $60,000 since 2006 and helped more than 300 Bridgewater residents. Through Christmas on the Common 2012, the BBA can continue to assist our residents, especially in these tough economic times, by paying a gas or electric bill to provide needed heat, buy toys for children, or purchase food during the holidays. We are extremely proud of our service to those in need, and to those in the Business Community that make it all possible.
We are currently accepting donations of any amount and have many opportunities, if you are a business, to promote you in exchange for your generosity. Please contact our Sponsorship Coordinator Cheryl Bilodeau at (508) 946-8350 if you have any questions.
The Mason Hall has graciously offered to let us use their hall again this year for vendors who want to set up inside, but there is very limited space. There is unlimited space on the Common and street and is open to anyone who would prefer to set up outside where Santa, and the other events will be.
Please contact our V.P. Nancy Thrasher at (508) 697-2731 if you have any questions about the event.
